Try number 2...

So this whole blogging thing is new to me. I get side tracked really easy and now with being 14.5 weeks pregnant I get baby brain as well! I am going to keep trying to blog more. I am not currently training for a race but my mom has a half marathon coming up in April, so I am going to be her training partner.

I was so excited to find out I was pregnant, but I got some nausea along with it. That was the hardest part to try and get up and workout. I tried to get up and go but with it being cold outside and not feeling good I didn't push myself too hard. I wish that I could but that is something that I need to continue to work on.

So today was the first day I got back out and ran. It was a gorgeous day first of all which helps me to want to get out and run. I wasn't really planning on running. I had my 1 year old in the stroller and I haven't trained with him before. I was planning on just walking and being outside and enjoying it. But as we got started I felt good and decided to run a little. I was able to run more than I thought. The big thing that I need to learn is how to run with a stroller. That means its time for me to do research!

As if running isn't hard enough running with a stroller is crazy hard! Especially when your toddler is over 30 lbs! My son loves to be outside so going for a run in the stroller is so easy! He has his drink in his cup holder along with goldfish and the sun shining!! What more could a toddler want?

So I only ran 2 miles with the stroller, but man those 2 miles felt like 10! Okay thats a bit of an exaggeration but it was harder than just running 2 miles. So my first miles was a a 16:20 with my average speed going 3.7. Mile 2 was 17:01 going 3.5. Not too bad for running for the first time running with the stroller and being 14 weeks pregnant!

My goal is to do my best to make running a priority to keep it so I have the motivation to make this a habit. I want to build my self discipline to be able to get out and going even on the days where I don't really want to or I feel like I don't have the energy. I haven't really felt like I have energy to do more than play cars with my son, and today was just the same. But we got out and ran and now I feel like I have so much more energy than I have had in a long time! Its been great!

I am hoping to keep up with the blogging again this time around!

Take 2

I got busy with life and there were other things that took priority over my blog. Though I loved writing, I needed to focus on me and my family. Since its been a while let me update you. I had my second baby. A little boy named Nash. Sweet guy! I had to have an emergency c-section because I had no fluid and he was breech. They were going to try and flip him but when we got to it he went into distress. I remember thinking I just wanted my baby to be okay. I never wanted a c-section. It scared me! I mean it is major surgery! Will thought it was pretty cool to watch! He was the first to hold our little guy! My recovery was way different than expected. But once I was able to run again I got to it! I think that helped a lot with my scar tissue not building up. I had to find different sports bras since I was nursing! I love  Senita  Athletics nursing sports bras. Super easy to nurse right after my runs and covered everything I needed. I feel better being covered when I nurs...
